Salary: £85 – £100 per day
Balfor Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants to work in specialist and mainstream settings across Wythenshawe and nearby areas. These schools cater to children and young people aged 5–19 with a wide range of needs, including Autism (ASD), sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and complex medical needs.
Your Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting pupils with special educational needs, helping them to thrive in both educational and therapeutic environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support aligned with EHCPs

Assist in delivering individualised learning and therapy programmes

Promote engagement in academic, sensory, and play-based activities

Support with personal care tasks (feeding, toileting, mobility)

Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents

Encourage independence, communication, and emotional development
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN needs
- Comfortable with personal care and manual handling (training provided)
- Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools (desirable)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- A calm, patient, and resilient attitude with a passion for inclusion
