Teacher of ICT
Location: Selly Oak
Pay: £150–£210 per day
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
The Role:
Balfor Education is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of ICT to join a forward-thinking secondary school. You will be responsible for planning and delivering ICT lessons to students aged 11–16, covering topics such as coding, digital systems, online safety, and software applications. You’ll also contribute to curriculum development and support students preparing for GCSEs, working closely with the head of department and pastoral staff.
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
• Experience teaching ICT/Computer Science at secondary level
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
• Passion for digital education and emerging technologies
• Ability to differentiate lessons to support diverse learners
Requirements:
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Relevant ICT teaching qualification
• Valid photo ID and up-to-date references
• Strong subject knowledge of the current UK ICT curriculum
• Immediate or September availability
