Support Worker – Homeless Services for Young Adults (Wolverhampton Area)

Are you passionate about supporting young adults aged 16-25 who are experiencing homelessness? Are you a caring, resilient, and reliable individual looking to make a real difference in their lives? If so, Balfor Recruitment has a rewarding opportunity for you to join our team as a Homeless Support Worker in the Wolverhampton area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people through their challenges and empower them to rebuild their lives.
Key Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working with younger adults (preferably as a Residential Support Worker)
- A Level 3 qualification in Residential Care or an equivalent qualification
- Clear Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service
- Driving licence with access to a car (desired)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and notes on service users
- Provide emotional and practical support to young people experiencing homelessness
- Conduct wellbeing checks to ensure the safety and comfort of service users
- Monitor security equipment to maintain a secure and safe environment
- Assist with basic domestic duties to ensure a clean and healthy living space
- Adhere to statutory policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines
- Be vigilant to signs of distress or abuse, ensuring service users are supported and protected
- Work in an anti-discriminatory, anti-oppressive manner, respecting each young person’s rights
- Ensure confidentiality is always maintained and comply with data protection regulations
