Are you an experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role? A fantastic primary school in Castle Bromwich is seeking a dedicated SEN TA to join their specialist SEN hub, providing tailored support to children with additional needs. This is a full-time, long-term role offering stability and the chance to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Assist with the implementation of EHCPs, ensuring students receive the tailored support they need.
  • Support students with emotional regulation, de-escalating potential incidents with a calm and proactive approach.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to adapt learning materials and strategies.
  • Carry out personal care duties when required, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that encourages independence and confidence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience working as an SEN TA, preferably in a specialist setting.
  • Qualifications: Relevant SEN qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Team Teach, Autism Awareness).
  • Resilience & Strength: The ability to handle challenging situations with patience, confidence, and professionalism.
  • Understanding: Knowledge of SEN strategies, behaviour management techniques, and sensory needs.
  • Commitment: A dedication to providing consistency and stability to both the school and the children.
