SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lichfield
Duration: Full time ongoing
Salary: £75- £90 per day
The School/role:
We are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who can take on a full-time, on-going job role in a fantastic, Ofsted rated “Good” school local to Lichfield. The school are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a child in their school. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience supporting students on a one-to-one basis and will be confident in adapting activities and resources to support individual pupils. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working with a SEND child in the school setting, supporting their behaviour, concentration and learning.

We are working with a school in Lichfield that are seeking a patient, compassionate and dedicated teaching assistant to work with a SEND child. This will include supporting and liaising with teachers to develop and create material preparations, assisting with displays and resources, and providing direct 1:1 support for a SEND child. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience supporting students 1:1 or within small groups with their reading, writing, phonics, maths and behaviour dependent upon situation.
The candidate for this role will be experienced supporting SEN children alongside children with a range of different academic attainment levels. This will require patience, commitment and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.
The team within the school are very supportive and will help you along the way. The staff in the school aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. This job opportunity is very rewarding for people who have teaching assistant experience.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant level 2 or 3 OR Relevant SEN Background
- SLD, MLD, ASD and Complex needs experience
- Immediately available
- Level 1, or higher, safeguarding certificate
- Relevant school-based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
- Enhanced DBS – on the update service
