Balfor Recruitment is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school in Perry Barr. Starting in ASAP, this role is ideal for someone who can manage classrooms effectively and ensure continuity in students’ learning during teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Management: Supervise and manage students in the classroom, ensuring a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Instruction Delivery: Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain focused and on-task.
- Support Learning: Assist students with their work and provide additional support where needed.
- Maintain Discipline: Uphold the school’s behaviour policies and manage any issues in a calm and effective manner.
- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day.
What We’re Looking For:
- Classroom Experience: Previous experience working with secondary school students, preferably in a supervisory or teaching assistant role.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and handle various subjects.
- Confident Leader: Confidence in managing a classroom and maintaining discipline.
- Team Player: Collaborative approach to working with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
