This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mathematics Teacher to deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). There may also be an opportunity to teach A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will initially join the school on a temporary-to-permanent (temp-to-perm) basis, providing an excellent opportunity to establish themselves within the school and progress their teaching career.

Maths Teacher Responsibilities

As a Maths Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons to students aged 12–18.
• Teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths in line with the school’s curriculum and examination requirements.
• Potentially teaching A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, depending on experience and preference.
• Adapting teaching strategies and resources to meet the individual needs of students, including those with SEND.
• Using a variety of teaching methods and resources to promote engagement, understanding and academic progress.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to participate and achieve.
• Accurately assessing, monitoring and recording students’ progress and attainment in Mathematics.
• Providing constructive feedback to help students identify areas for improvement.
• Setting clear, achievable and measurable learning objectives.
• Supporting positive behaviour management and maintaining high standards of student engagement.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the wider Mathematics department.
• Supporting students to develop confidence, problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of Mathematics.

Maths Teacher Requirements

To be considered for this Maths Teacher vacancy in Wiltshire, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential.
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 – Essential.
• Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Mathematics curriculum.
• Experience preparing students for GCSE Mathematics.
• A passion for inspiring students and improving academic outcomes.
• A nurturing, patient and supportive approach to teaching.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to remain calm, consistent and professional under pressure.
• Adaptability and resilience when responding to different learning needs.
• Excellent communication skills when working with students, colleagues and families.
• A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high educational standards.
