Your Role: As a Food Technology Teacher, you will inspire students to explore the fascinating world of food, nutrition, and culinary arts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cover a range of topics in food technology, including cooking techniques, nutrition, and food safety.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity and develop their culinary skills.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical sessions, guiding students through recipes and cooking processes.
  • Incorporate elements of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) into food technology lessons to enrich students’ learning experiences.
  • Assess students’ progress through practical assessments, written assignments, and presentations, providing constructive feedback to support their development.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in Food Technology or related subject area.
  • Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology or a related subject at the secondary level.
  • Passion for food and cooking, with a strong commitment to promoting healthy eating and sustainable food practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
