Location: Walsall
Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent Roles Available

Balfor Recruitment is seeking Children’s Support Workers to join our residential services in Walsall supporting children with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties, and complex needs.

. In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting children with:

  • Autism
  • Learning Disabilities (LD)
  • Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Complex needs

You’ll help create a safe, nurturing home environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered.

What We’re Looking For

We want compassionate leaders who put children at the centre of everything they do.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience working with children (senior role preferred)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting children with Autism, challenging behaviours, or self-harm risks

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver personalised care plans
  • Act as a Key Worker, attending reviews and setting goals
  • Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support
  • Ensure safeguarding and care standards are consistently met
  • Create an inclusive, safe, and positive home environment
  • Maintain accurate records and incident reporting
