Business Teacher (SEMH)
Location: Birmingham
Duration: Full-time, ongoing
Salary: £160 – £240 per day
About the Role: We’re working with a fantastic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Birmingham that’s looking for a passionate Business Teacher. The PRU supports students aged 11-16 with challenging behaviour, providing personalised, high-quality teaching. This full-time position runs until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Business lessons, focusing on real-world applications and the curriculum.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where pupils can thrive.
- Recognise and address the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students.
- Collaborate with counsellors, parents, and staff to provide tailored support.
- Assess pupils’ progress through activities, discussions, and feedback.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher with relevant Business teaching experience
- Knowledge of delivering Business Studies at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Experience working with SEMH or SEBD needs is an advantage
- Level 1 Safeguarding certificate
- Recent references from school-based roles
- Valid Photo ID (e.g., Driving Licence or Passport)
- Full DBS check (or subscription to the DBS update service)
