Job Title: Secondary School Cover Supervisor – All Subjects

Pay: £118–£208 per day
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
Positions: Short-term and Long-term roles available

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent. These roles are available on both a short-term and long-term basis. In addition, full-time opportunities may be available depending on the needs of the school.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step in to deliver pre-planned lessons. Therefore, you will play a key role in keeping students engaged and on track with their learning.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

  • Therefore, ensure students remain focused and engaged

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Support student learning and respond to questions where needed

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress

  • In addition, help maintain a safe and positive learning environment

  • Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students at all times

Requirements

To be successful, you should:

  • Have at least 6 months’ experience in a UK school setting

  • Be confident managing a classroom independently

  • Have strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Show flexibility and willingness to work in different schools

  • Be committed to high standards of learning and support

Safeguarding & Compliance

  • This role requires an enhanced DBS check

  • In addition, two references covering the last two years are required
