Job Title: KS1 Primary Teacher
Location: Hall Green, Birmingham
Salary: From £160+ per day (Competitive, depending on experience)
About the School and Role
Balfor Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and collaborative primary school in Hall Green, Birmingham, that is looking to appoint a dedicated KS1 Primary Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated teacher to work in a supportive and well-organised school environment where staff work closely together to provide high-quality education for all pupils.
The successful KS1 Primary Teacher will work alongside an experienced Key Stage 1 Leader and a strong team of teaching staff and teaching assistants. The school is committed to creating a nurturing learning environment where pupils feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum

Adapt teaching strategies to support the diverse learning needs of pupils

Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Liaise closely with teaching assistants to support classroom activities and pupil development

Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback where necessary
-
Maintain positive behaviour management and promote a respectful classroom environment

Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development opportunities
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

PGCE, Masters, or BA Hons in Primary Education and/or Teaching

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recent experience teaching within a primary school
-
Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Strong understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum

Ability to effectively support and manage pupils, including those with mild Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Experience or training in Systematic Synthetic Phonics (desirable)
