Balfour Recruitment is working with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a dedicated English Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong English department that values creativity, literacy, and student voice.


🔍 About the Role:

  • 📖 Teaching English Language and Literature at Key Stages 3 and 4

  • ✍️ Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons

  • 📈 Supporting students’ progress through regular assessment and feedback

  • 🧠 Encouraging a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking

  • 🗂️ Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities


✅ We’re Looking For:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Experience teaching English in a secondary setting

  • Excellent subject knowledge and passion for literature and language

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A commitment to high standards and safeguarding
