We are looking for a Site Supervisor to join our site team at our Ofsted “Good” Primary School.  The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, be reliable, hardworking, flexible in attitude and able to cope with the varied nature of the role.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Responsibility for Security and Safety of the school, including but not limited to, Opening and Closing, Key maintenance, Health and Safety checks, Checks and setting of alarms.
  • Maintenance and cleaning responsibilities; disposal of waste materials, replacing or consumables, organisation of cleaning team, clearing blockages, management of heating and water supplies, ensuring clear and safe pedestrian access.
  • Minor Repairs; plumbing, joinery, electrical work, painting and decorating and internal decoration and maintenance.
  • General portage and collection activities as required including setting up and clearing away furniture.
  • To attend to, where necessary, personnel visiting the site such as contractors, representatives of utilities (gas, electric) and monitor any work being carried out within the postholder’s area of responsibility.
  • Carry out tasks of a specialist nature, e.g. an annual Fire Risk Assessment, etc. and report to the school’s senior member of staff.
  • Full Enhanced DBS and ongoing Safeguarding of all pupils on site.

 

They will need to be able to use their initiative, be proactive to the needs of the school, have a good understanding of Health & Safety/COSSH Regulations and be able to take on small projects as required. The post holder will undertake general maintenance work around the site and carry out some grounds work. The physical aspect of the role also involves putting up and taking down exam desks and moving furniture. The role involves occasional evening work to cover lettings and other events such as Open Evenings that occur during the school year. Further duties to be discussed during interview.
