Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join our team at a school in Coventry. You will support children in their transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1, fostering their development and instilling a love for learning. This is an exciting opportunity to help young students grow academically and socially in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of Year 1 pupils, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Use creative teaching strategies to make learning interactive and enjoyable.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Work closely with teaching assistants to provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs.
- Maintain strong communication with parents regarding pupil development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver the best possible learning experiences.
Requirements:
- QTS and experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
- Knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum, particularly phonics and early literacy.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
- Dedication to promoting the welfare and development of young learners.
