Job Advertisement: Year 1 Teacher

Role:

We are looking for an engaging Year 1 Teacher to challenge and inspire young minds in a supportive and nurturing environment. You will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum, also fostering early literacy skills through synthetic systematic phonics, and supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver stimulating and differentiated lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum.
  • Implement synthetic systematic phonics to enhance early reading and writing proficiency.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing tailored support and feedback to SEN students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and personal growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support holistic student development.

 

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Year 1 and working with SEN students is advantageous.
  • Proficient understanding of synthetic systematic phonics methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and enhancing teaching practices.
