Long-Term Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistants

Role Overview:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students’ educational journeys. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide personalized support tailored to each student’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individualised Support: Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs for students with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
- Engagement and Motivation: Encourage and support students to engage fully in classroom activities, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Behavioral Support: Implement strategies to manage behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaboration: Work alongside teachers and other staff to develop and adapt lesson plans, ensuring they meet the specific needs of students.
- Monitoring Progress: Help track student progress and provide feedback to teachers, contributing to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Personal Care: Assist students with personal care tasks and support their independence where possible.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
- Qualifications: A relevant qualification in special education, childcare, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to the dynamic needs of the classroom.
- Commitment: A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs and helping them succeed.
