Balfor is currently recruiting for experienced Support workers to work within Birmingham on a flexible and temporary basis.
We are looking for support workers that can work flexible shifts across Birmingham covering Days nights and weekends. This is a great opportunity for support workers looking for flexible work around their studies, additional work alongside their main job and support workers who like to work via agencies.
Duties
- You will be providing support to each service user taking them on outings within the local community, arranging indoor and outdoor activities, supporting residents with general daily duties.
- You will play an active part in creating a safe environment for each service user and work professionally to meet individual needs implementing care plans and promoting self – help personal life skills.
- You will be required to provide personal care where necessary.
Requirements:
- NVQ 2 in health and social or equivalent.
6 months experience supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviour. - Enhanced DBS Check (Updated) or willing to undergo a new check.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work as part of a team, flexible and have can do attitude.
- Right to work in the UK
- Driving license with access to a car (desired)
