Support Worker – Homeless Services (Wolverhampton Area)

Balfor Recruitment is currently seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team, supporting individuals in homeless services in and around the Wolverhampton area. This role offers flexible shifts that work around your schedule, giving you the ideal work-life balance while making a real difference in the lives of those in need.
We work with a variety of clients, including homeless shelters, supported accommodation services, and outreach programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing homelessness
- Conducting wellbeing checks and ensuring the safety of service users
- Supporting individuals with accessing accommodation, benefits, and other essential services
- Administering medication and keeping accurate records in logbooks
- Assisting with basic domestic duties, such as cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Monitoring security equipment and promoting a safe environment for all service users
- Helping individuals build skills and confidence to move forward in their lives
Requirements for Support Workers:
- At least 6 months of experience in the UK health and social care sector (preferably in homeless services or similar settings)
- Experience supporting individuals with drug and alcohol misuse, mental health challenges, and other complex needs
- DBS check on the update service
- Right to work in the UK
- Access to relevant training certificates
- A compassionate, non-judgmental approach with the ability to support and empower vulnerable individuals
