Job Title: Day-to-Day Supply Teaching Assistant (SEN)

Daily Rate: £85.00 – £100.00 per day

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Day-to-Day Supply)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm


Role Overview: We are looking for flexible and compassionate Day-to-Day Supply Teaching Assistants to provide support to schools on an as-needed basis. This role involves working with both primary and secondary-aged students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will assist in providing one-to-one or classroom support, helping to ensure students receive the guidance they need to succeed in their learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide flexible support to schools by stepping in as needed for both classroom and one-to-one assistance.
  • Assist with adapting learning materials and activities to suit the needs of individual students, including those with SEN.
  • Work closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of pupils.
  • Help manage any challenging behaviour, ensuring alignment with the school’s behaviour policies.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes student confidence and independence.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the school day by supporting pupils as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEN setting within the last 2 years.
  • A strong understanding of the needs of pupils with SEN, and a commitment to supporting their learning.
  • DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different school environments.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward working with children.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or working with Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience supporting pupils with an EHCP.
  • Previous experience in day-to-day or supply roles within schools.
