Balfor has a rewarding opportunity for Children’s Senior Residential Support workers, we are looking for a supportive, caring and resilient support worker.
Requirements
- 12 months minimum experience working with children
- level 3 qualification in Children Residential Care or equivalent.
- Clear Enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
- Must be a driver with own car.
Support Worker Duties and Responsibilities:
- To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
- To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required
- Always ensure that the ethos of the Statement of Purpose is applied.
- Adhere to statutory policies and procedures.
- To be a Key Worker where designated and contribute to the child or young person’s plan which reflects his/her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs. Ensure that this plan is regularly reviewed in conjunction with other team members.
- Be alert to signs of distress or abuse and to ensure that the child or young person is monitored and protected.
- Work within the safeguarding and child protection guidelines, following the reporting procedures where appropriate.
- Be aware of children’s rights and work in an anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive manner.
- Contribute to childcare planning and review meetings when required.
- Ensure that confidentiality is always maintained and observe data protection guidelines.
