We are looking recruiting for an experienced, passionate, and driven Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker on be half of our client based in Halesowen.

The service accommodates 3 young people aged 8 – 18 with emotional and behavioural disabilities/Learning difficulties.

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare
  • Experience working with Young People with Autism, Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs
  • Previous experience working as a senior/ team leader in residential care.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Hold a full driving licence

  • Ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Enthusiastic in your approach to tough challenges.
  • Assertive in difficult situations.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills.

As a senior support worker, you will:

Lead shifts and supervise a team of support workers. Organise and accompany the young people on social activities and appointments. Work closely with the management team to ensure the service maintains an excellent standard and build relationships with the young people. Record the young person’s activity reporting key aspects of their care. Promote the young person’s independence and developing their life skills.
