We are recruiting for an excellent PRU in the Birmingham area that are seeking an experienced SENCO to come in and support the school and teachers in ensuring school policies are in line with current SEN guidelines.

We are working with an excellent mainstream primary school in the Birmingham
area that are seeking an experienced SENCO. This includes ensuring that the teachers within the school have the necessary understanding and skillset to effectively carry out the SEN policies to a high standard. Alongside this, it will be your duty to assess the needs of children with various learning disabilities and produce regular reports and learning plans for each student.
Ensuring the success of the students within their education is extremely important to the school, so the ideal candidate for this role will have experience within the classroom where they may be required to support on occasion.
As part of this role, you will be tasked with providing referrals for children to receive support outside of school hours, from medical specialists, therapists or tutors.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent qualification
- Experience in creating SEN learning plans
- Experience with a range of SEN
- Available Immediately
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school-based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS – registered on the update service
