SEN Teaching Assistant

 

Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Duration: Ongoing full time, temporary post

Salary: £75 – 85 per day DOE

 

The School/role:

We are recruiting for a SEND school in the Walsall area that are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with them on a full-time basis The school looks after students at KS3 and KS4, with a range of complex learning needs and physical disabilities.

The role is a full-time position working closely with these students and being pro-active with their needs and care. The school are looking for someone committed, hands on and determined to provide a better quality of learning with vulnerable students. You must have worked with Autism, Complex learning needs, Downs Syndrome or Cerebral Palsey.

These students are between KS3 and KS4, and have needs including ASC, Complex needs, Physical difficulties, and some behavioural needs. You must have experience of working with complex SEND and be able to provide personal care professionally and to a high standard of care.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • SEND school-based Experience
  • Complex, ASD, SLD experience
  • Child and Adult Workforce DBS
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service
