Job Description
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, individualised education to students with diverse special educational needs. You will collaborate closely with teachers and staff to implement effective teaching strategies and support plans tailored to each student’s unique requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with a variety of special needs and behaviours.
- Implement special educational strategies and techniques to support individual learning.
- Facilitate social integration within the classroom and during activities.
- Manage challenging behaviour positively and proactively.
- Foster emotional well-being, confidence, and self-esteem among SEN students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- SEN school-based experience preferred.
- Valid Photo ID (Driving Licence or Passport).
- Full DBS check (we can assist in obtaining one if needed).
- References covering the last two years.
