Job Description

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, individualised education to students with diverse special educational needs. You will design and implement effective teaching strategies and support plans tailored to each student’s unique requirements, working closely with other staff to ensure the best outcomes for all learners.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of students with a variety of special needs and behaviours.
  • Implement and follow students’ EHCPs, ensuring that goals are met.
  • Facilitate social integration within the classroom and during activities.
  • Manage challenging behaviour positively and proactively.
  • Foster emotional well-being, confidence, and self-esteem among SEN students.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to support students’ learning and development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting, particularly in SEN.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with SEN.
  • Valid Photo ID (Driving Licence or Passport).
  • Full DBS check (we can assist in obtaining one if needed).
  • References covering the last two years.
