The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist Intervention Teaching Assistant to support our SEN pupils. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN to ensure they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Deliver targeted intervention programs, designed in collaboration with the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual needs.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and parents as required.
  • Support classroom teachers in adapting resources and strategies for SEN pupils.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a school setting.
  • A relevant qualification in education or SEN (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification, SENCO training, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including managing challenging behavior and sensory needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
