If this, is you Balfor have a rewarding full-time opportunity for a Children’s Residential Support worker for a 4 bed Home in Halesowen.
The home is an established service that accommodates children and young people from the ages of 5 – 14 with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties.
Requirements
- 1 year’s Minimum experience working with children (preferably as a Residential Support Worker)
- level 3 qualification in Residential Care or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with EBD.
- Restraint Trained (Desired).
- Clear Enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
- Driving License with access to a car (Desired)
Support Worker Duties and Responsibilities:
- To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
- Adhere to statutory policies and procedures.
- To be a Key Worker where designated and contribute to the child or young person’s plan which reflects his/her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs.
- Be alert to signs of distress or abuse and to ensure that the child or young person is monitored and protected.
- Be aware of children’s rights and work in an anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive manner.
- To ensure that confidentiality is always maintained and observe data protection guidelines.
