Balfor are looking for a Vibrant and Strong Registered Manager to take responsibility for the day to day running of a Children’s home in Selly oak. Our ideal Registered Manager would have previous experience and knowledge of managing a service for children aged 8 to 17 years old with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.

As the Registered Manager of this new children’s home your role would entail:

  • Registering with OFSTED and ensuring the home follow and adhere to the policies and regulations.
  • Recruiting and training the team of staff that will be working at the home.
  • Joining the client’s team before the service is open to aid in ensuring the home environment is to the highest standards.
  • Delivering childcare that is focuses on getting the best outcomes for each young person within the home.
  • You will have to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working either as a Children’s Home Registered Manager or as a Children’s Home Deputy Manager in a Children’s Home.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Residential Childcare.
  • Proven track record working with children in a residential setting.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing a staff team within a residential setting.
  • A good understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and working with other health care professionals.
  • Must have received at least a Good OFSTED inspection rating within the last 2 years.
  • Great Communicator.
  • Full driving license with access to a vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS.
