Registered Children’s Home Manager opportunity for 3 bed Children’s home in Birmingham.
Balfor is looking for a Vibrant and Strong Registered Manager to take responsibility for the daily running of a Children’s home. Our ideal Registered Manager would have previous experience and knowledge of managing a service for children with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.
Requirements:
- Recent experience working either as a Children’s Home Registered Manager or as a Children’s Home Deputy Manager in a Children’s Home.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent qualification).
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience of working with children from the age of 8 years old to 18 years old.
- Experience of managing a staff team within a residential setting.
- A good understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and working with other health care professionals.
- Great Communicator.
- Full driving license.

We are looking for a Registered Manger who is dynamic and passionate about the care they provide.
The Registered Manager will be responsible for delivering childcare that is focuses on getting the best outcomes for each young person within the home.
You will have to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff.
This will involve supervisions, mentoring and annual appraisals of staff.
Organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focused training, recruitment of staff and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.
