Job Description
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, personalised education to students with diverse special educational needs. You will create and implement effective teaching strategies and support plans tailored to each student’s individual requirements, collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure optimal outcomes for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that address the needs of students with various special needs and behaviours.
- Implement and adhere to students’ EHCPs, ensuring all goals are met.
- Promote social integration within the classroom and during activities.
- Manage challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive manner.
- Support the emotional well-being, confidence, and self-esteem of SEN students.
- Work alongside parents, carers, and other professionals to enhance students’ learning and development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential; ECTs are warmly welcomed.
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting, particularly in SEN.
- A genuine passion for fostering the learning and development of students with SEN.
- Valid Photo ID (Driving Licence or Passport).
- Full DBS check (we can assist in obtaining one if needed).
- References covering the last two years.
