PMLD Special Needs Assistant
Location: Tamworth
Duration: Full time, on going
Salary: £85 – £95 per day
The School/role:
An amazing school in Tamworth are currently looking for a fulltime PMLD teaching assistant to work within one of their many classes from ages ranging from 2 to 19 years old. The school is a community special school with students with cognition and learning difficulties in addition to physical disabilities and complex health needs. They aim to provide a secure environment where all the children’s individual needs are recognised and catered for.

The school places a special emphasis on core subjects and offer a wide range of learning opportunities with a hydrotherapy pool and multiple sensory rooms. PECS and Makaton training or experience would be suitable for the teaching assistant role but not necessary. This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- PMLD, SLD and Complex needs experience
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate

- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS – on the update service
