Join our dedicated team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Small Heath as a PE Teacher. We provide tailored educational support to students who have faced challenges in mainstream education, helping them thrive in a supportive environment.
Role Overview:
We seek an enthusiastic PE Teacher with a passion for supporting student growth. You’ll deliver high-quality PE lessons, promoting fitness, teamwork, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Monitor and report on student progress.
- Collaborate on individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Support students’ social and emotional development.
- Participate in extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Physical Education or related field.
- Experience with diverse student needs, preferably in a PRU.
- Strong classroom management and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to child safeguarding and welfare.
