Balfor Recruitment is excited to announce an outstanding opportunity for a talented Pastoral Manager to join a supportive secondary school in Lea Hall. Starting in September, this role is perfect for an empathetic and proactive individual who can provide exceptional pastoral care and support to students. This role will become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Support: As a Pastoral Manager, provide comprehensive support to students, addressing their emotional, social, and academic needs to ensure their well-being and success.
- Safeguarding: Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding, ensuring all students feel safe and secure within the school environment.
- Behavior Management: Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies, promoting positive behavior and addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students’ holistic development and well-being.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide students, helping them to overcome challenges and develop resilience and self-confidence.
- Attendance Monitoring: Monitor and promote good attendance and punctuality, implementing interventions where necessary to support students in maintaining regular school attendance.
- Pastoral Programs: Develop and lead pastoral programs and initiatives that promote students’ personal development, social skills, and emotional well-being.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in Pastoral Care: Proven experience in a pastoral or support role within an educational setting.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy and Understanding: A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students’ emotional and social needs.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Commitment to Safeguarding: A thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive school environment.
