If this, is you Balfor has a rewarding full-time opportunity for a Night Children’s Residential Support worker for a 3 bed Home in Handsworth Birmingham.

The home is an established service that accommodates children and young people from the ages of 8 – 16 with emotional and/or behavioral difficulties.

 Requirements

  • 1 year’s Minimum experience working with children (preferably as a Residential Support Worker)
  • level 3 qualification in Residential Care or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with EBD.
  • Restraint Trained (Desired).
  • Clear Enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
  • Driving License with access to a car (Desired)

As a Children’s Residential Night support worker, you will be required to work during the week and weekends on a full-time basis.

Support Worker Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To Remain awake and alert throughout the night to ensure the safety of the people we support.
  • Monitor and promote sleep and wellbeing patterns.
  • Support with nightly tasks: such as medication and domestic duties.
  • To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
  • To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required
