Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Coventry

 

Location: Coventry

Duration: Full-time

Salary: Competitive, DOE

 

The School/role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work with a school in Coventry. The successful candidate will be class based and may be responsible for providing PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) cover, ensuring continuity in learning and maintaining high standards in the classroom. The school is a vibrant and inclusive setting committed to providing a supportive and stimulating environment for the students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and preparation of lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Assess and provide feedback on student progress and development.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in school activities and contribute to the overall ethos of the school.

 

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification (level 4 or 5) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Level 1 Safeguarding (training can be provided)
  • Full Enhanced DBS Certificate (new application can be completed)
