Location: Rugeley

Duration: Full time, on-going

Salary: £80- 110 per day

 

The School/role:

We are hiring a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for an Ofsted rated “Good” school near Rugeley. The school are looking for a qualified level 4 or 5 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), who can take on a full-time, on-going job role. This HLTA role will include working with a variety of different students from different educational backgrounds, who will require varying levels of support. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will also be required to working in a range of different situations from whole class support to 1:1 interventions. The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for this role will join team of brilliant and supportive education staff in the school.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant background
  • Level 4 or 5 assisting education and learning qualification or equivalent
  • Immediately available
  • Level 1, or higher, safeguarding certificate
  • Relevant school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Enhanced DBS – on the update service

We are hiring a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a school local to the Rugeley area, to support students in a specified key stage, as well as, across the school. The Key stage placement of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is flexible, so will be based on the successful candidates’ skills and prior experience. This role will include supporting teachers with material preparation for lessons, assisting with displays and providing direct 1-on-1, or small group, pupil support.  The ideal candidate for this role will have experience supporting students either 1 on 1 or within small groups with their reading, writing, phonics or maths dependent upon key stage placement and intervention support required.

 

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will be working with children who have a range of different educational needs, so will be comfortable supporting SEN children alongside children with a range of different academic attainment levels. This will require patience, commitment and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience or qualifications working with SEN children, this is preferable but not required. You may also be required to work with children working at above age-related expectations, challenging their skills to develop further.
