Hourly Rate: £12.82 – £15.00

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to contribute to the delivery of high-quality services for children under five and their families at a Children’s Centre in Ilford. You will play a key role in achieving positive developmental outcomes for children, in alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework and Redbridge Council’s strategies.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Eligibility to Work in the UK: Proof of eligibility is mandatory.
- Supporting Documents: DBS Registered onto the update service
- References/Work History: You must be able provide a minimum of three years’ referees for your work history.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging and educational group sessions for families with children under five, guided by the Development Matters and EYFS framework.
- Identify families needing additional support and provide tailored advice or referrals to relevant local services.
- Promote home learning and provide parents with advice and guidance to maximize the benefits of their visits to the Centre.
- Contribute to the achievement of the Children’s Centre core offer by improving outcomes for children and families.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework and Development Matters guidance.
- Experience in facilitating group activities for young children and families.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers.
- A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families.
