Balfour Recruitment is working with a welcoming and well-managed secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025.

🔍 About the Role:

  • 👨‍🏫 Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher

  • 📘 Ensuring students stay on task and complete work set

  • 🗣️ Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • 📝 Reporting back on student progress and engagement

  • 🧠 Supporting a positive, respectful learning environment

✅ We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people (e.g. schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work)

  • Confidence, calmness, and strong communication skills

  • Ability to manage behaviour and build rapport with students

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to support learning

  • A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
