Position Overview: As a Complex Behavioural Learning Needs Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with diverse behavioural challenges. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with complex behavioural needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Implement individualized behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages social interaction, communication, and independence.
  • Monitor student progress, behaviours, and achievements, and communicate any concerns or developments to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with complex behavioural needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education, psychology, counselling, or behaviour management are desirable but not essential.
