Children’s Residential Registered Manager
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role:
As the Children’s Residential Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it runs efficiently, and meeting the high standards set by OFSTED. You will lead by example and be instrumental in creating a positive environment for both staff and children, always aiming for the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation for OFSTED inspections, ensuring the home meets and exceeds all inspection standards.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to prepare the home for registration, including recruitment and staff onboarding.
- Promote a child-centred approach, focusing on positive life outcomes, education, health, and well-being.
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection protocols are always followed.
- Lead by example in managing the service efficiently, providing clear direction, and overseeing all operational aspects of the home.
- Conduct regular staff performance reviews and provide guidance to maintain high standards of care and support.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure the home is compliant with Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, external agencies, and the local community to support the children in your care.
- Provide out-of-hours management support on a rota basis.
- Lead staff through comprehensive training, support, and regular appraisals to ensure they meet the highest standards of care.
What We Are Looking For:
- A proven track record of managerial experience in children’s residential services.
- Previous experience with OFSTED inspections.
- Ability to work flexibly, including out-of-hours support when required.
- Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding practices, and regulatory frameworks.
- QCF Level 3/4 (CYP) qualification in Children and Young People or equivalent.
- Full UK Driving License.
- At least two years of managerial experience within children’s residential services.
