Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND and challenging behaviours, fostering their emotional and social development.
  • Build positive relationships with students to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor progress and share valuable insights.
  • Implement proactive behaviour management strategies that promote positive behaviours and emotional regulation.
  • Engage with students in both group settings and one-to-one support.

Skills Needed:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with students.
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques, particularly in relation to challenging behaviours.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in SEND settings with challenging behaviours, is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA) are a plus but not essential.
