Role: Adults Qualified Social Worker

Location: Shropshire 

Hourly Rate: £19.24 – £22.58

Duration:  Temporary ongoing

Balfor recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a Adults Social worker to work alongside a public sector client.  The role will be based in Shropshire and will be on a fulltime and temporary basis.

We are looking for experienced dedicated and passionate, social workers to work as part of the adult’s team.

Key Duties include:

  • working closely within a strong established and expanding team.
  • Working with vulnerable adults and carers, helping them to achieve ambitions, helping them to do things for themselves, relationships and networks that maintain their independence.
  • Undertake safeguarding investigations mental capacity assessments, best interest decisions, carrying out outcome focused assessments, with support planning to meet their care and support needs.
  • Provide a service that flexibly meets the needs of service users within budgets set.
  • To be knowledgeable and understand relevant legislative and regulatory framework and Government initiatives relating to your service area, including safeguarding, and the needs of vulnerable adults.
  • Work with managers and other staff members to share and promote good practice and work co-operatively to ensure consistency in working practices wherever feasible and champion all changes particularly in relation to the personalisation agenda.
  • Undertake specific duties and responsibilities determined by the line manager to enable the team to achieve its goals and objectives.
  • Work with the line manager to ensure day to day functioning of the team in operational matters.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a social worker within adults services.
  • Degree in social work or equivalent
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Experience working with people with Learning Disabilities, mental health and Autism.
  • Knowledge and experience of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS/LPS
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Valid UK Driving License with access to a car
  • Valid MOT and Insurance for business use
