Job Title: Accountancy Tutor
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £55,000
Hours: Full time
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider of professional training and apprenticeships, who are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Tutor to join their growing Birmingham team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualified accountant looking to transition into a rewarding teaching role. No prior teaching experience is required, as full training will be provided.
About the Role:
As a Tutor, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and effective training to students and apprentices preparing for professional accountancy qualifications. You will be responsible for leading both classroom and online learning sessions, providing valuable insights and technical knowledge to support students in achieving their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality training for AAT, ACA, CIMA, and ACCA professional exams in classroom and online settings
- Support the growth of a new team and business unit with your expertise and enthusiasm
- Provide ongoing support to students, answering queries both in and out of class
- Offer constructive feedback on student work and performance
- Maintain strong client relationships by providing reports and feedback as required
Requirements:
Essential:
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT Level 7 equivalent)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion for education and sharing knowledge
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to work
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing workloads
- Confidence and professionalism in client and colleague interactions
- Familiarity with accountancy qualifications and apprenticeship standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Preferred:
- Experience working in a cross-functional project team
- Background in the accountancy and finance sector
- Additional knowledge of apprenticeship training requirements
