1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lichfield
Duration: Full time, on going
Salary: £85 – £95 per day
The School/role:
We are looking for a full time TA to start with us after Easter for a 1:1 child in Y1 on a long-term supply basis. The child in question repeated his year in Nursery, due to having a transplant and requires constant supervision for his disruptive behaviour in case he injures/hurts others. This supportive school is a happy, thriving school that is proud to be part of our local community. Key Duties:
- Constant Supervision: Provide vigilant supervision to ensure the safety of the child and others, particularly in managing disruptive behavior.
- Building Trusting Relationships: Foster a trusting relationship with the student to create a supportive learning environment.
- Sensory Room Assistance: Facilitate the student’s engagement in the sensory room to enhance their learning experience.
- Outdoor Activities: Organize and facilitate opportunities for the student to run around outside each day, promoting physical activity and well-being.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- PECS and Makaton training/experience
- PMLD, SLD, MLD, ASD and Complex needs experience
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS – on the update service
