As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students as they prepare for the transition to Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will inspire a love for learning in their pupils, ensuring they achieve both academic progress and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of Year 2 pupils, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and core subjects.
• Prepare students for their end-of-Key-Stage assessments, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared.
• Use effective assessment strategies to track and monitor student progress, adapting teaching approaches accordingly.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to achieve their potential.
• Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
• Maintain strong communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on pupil progress and wellbeing.

Requirements:

• QTS and experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly in Year 2.
• A strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum, including SATs preparation and assessment frameworks.
• Effective classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
