Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to support students with additional needs at a secondary school in Solihull. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment and has a passion for helping students reach their full potential.

As a Learning Support Assistant, your key duties will include:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with learning difficulties or special educational needs.
  • Assisting classroom teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Adapting resources and materials to meet individual learning needs.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant (at least 6 months) or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A passion for working with young people and supporting their education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with students with diverse needs.
